Build yourself an A4 size pellet catcher

Most downloadable targets are A4 size which is great because you can print off as many as you like on your printer. The problem is, on what do you put it? I solved the problem for myself by knocking up a very simple pellet catcher which does the job perfectly.

Have a look at these pictures:

I need to have a flexible target holder so that I can change different pellet catchers as I have 4 types. So what I did is make a simple frame from 4 pieces of timber, the same size as an A4 sheet, then from my local ironmongers I obtained a sheet of galvanised steel plate at about 3mm thickness, for a more solid feel, I also cut a piece of 3 ply the same size as the frame then drilled and screwed the 3 together, it was handy that the steel plate was a bit longer than the frame, this enabled me to drill a hole at the top to hang it either on a nail, or, to get the correct height, a piece of timber, as shown in the pics. To finish it off, I simply sprayed it mat black from an aerosol. I use 2 rubber bands to hold the A4 sheet in place, simple but effective!
