NEWS;

Saturday the 2nd of December 2006 at 2pm saw the inaugural meeting of our new airgun club held at a club members house near Albox. With the opening in the new year of a clay pigeon and full bore club near Zurgena, we thought we'd start the ball rolling and get the airgun club off the ground so that when the shooting grounds open, we'll be able to transfer without any effort, here are a few photos.

Although there were only three of us joining in the fun on a nippy and cloudy day, we really enjoyed zeroing the various rifles and having a pot at the 'Tin Chicken' target.

And here is the 'Tin Chicken' at 35yards. It's actually a Gamo Rat knock down target, hit the yellow bull and the lot falls over, pulled back up again with a piece of string.

We intend obtaining a few more knock down targets to enhance the fun

This is where we set up a temporary paper target pellet trap for determining how the rifles were grouping shots

The rifles we used were 3 Feinwerkbaus and a Weihrauch. A FWB 124 with open sights, a FWB 127 with telescopics, a FWB 300 with diopter peep sights and an HW77 with telescopics.

If you are interested in joining our little shoots and coming along and having a go, you will be very welcome. The emphasis here is on fun with a little competitive edge. We are not a formal club, just a group of friends interested in target shooting with air rifles and pistols. How much does it cost? Nothing.

We don't use specialist guns that cost the earth and a good enough rifle can be bought in Arboleas armeria for between 100 and 200 euros, if you don't already have one that is! If you want to come along and use one of ours, no problem!
